I'm twenty-seven years old, and my ears aren't pierced. I have to be part of an incredible minority as my generation seems to have more piercings and tattoos than ever before. It's not that I have any qualms with either form of self-expression, I've just always wanted to be sure that I really know I want it done before I do it. This decision is a big one for me, and this year I'm finally going to do it. It's the reward I'm giving myself to establishing an exercise routine in my life. I've committed myself to keeping it going until the beginning of May, then I'll reward myself. Of course the next thought is of what to wear in the piercings I'm going to create. I know for a fact it won't be anything large or dangly or fancy. I prefer simplicity, and so I thought I'd share some of my favorite Etsy finds with you:
There are plenty of other beauties, but these have caught my eye of late. I'll let you know in May when my goal date ends as to how the piercing went and if any of these pretties will be adorning my ears. Which are your favorites?

What an awesome post! No pun intended! And thank you for including my work too :)
Sounds like you've given a lot of thought to piercing your ears throughout the years, and that you're at the point where it would be a reward, a treat, for yourself and your efforts. I hope when you do get your ears pierced that you find it both a special gift to yourself for self-expression and just utterly enjoyable for your style and being.
Best wishes,
Lynsey
I waited quite a while till I had my ears pierced also. Like you, I wanted to feel sure I was doing it for me, and not some kind of social expectation. I don't wear earrings that much, but I love that I can and I love the small studs you've chose here.
My favourites? Perhaps the ones by obliss. But they're all wonderful.
Very wise! (pierced ear AND exercise routine)
These are wonderful choices - very honored to have my earrings included here!
Thanks for featuring some Maple+Mauve goodies! Great blog!
