Artistic Moment Of The Week: Portrait of Smoking Girl

This portrait immediately caught my eye.  The outfit, the pose, all of it.  She appears to be quite the force to be reckoned with.  I admire that greatly.

Artistic Moment of the Week: Man with Dappled Horse.

Man with dappled horse at Oxford Street Fair 1913 via Flickr Commons/Miami University Libraries.
Simple, vintage photographs become such works of art when viewed at a later date.  The stunning Percheron horse, the dapper man; it is all perfection.  I hope you agree.

Artist Moment of the Week: Frank M. Hohenberger.

Frank M. Hohenberger is a favorite photographer of mine.  His photography of rural Brown County, Indiana during the early 1900s makes my heart flutter a bit.  My only wish is that I want the ability to step inside the plates and look around a bit.

Nashville, alley back of Jerry Wilson's, looking south.  1920.
